Steamed Broccoli and Carrots with Lemon

Description

This side dish adds lots of color and vitamins and minerals to your meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • ½ cup julienne-cut carrots
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add broccoli florets and carrots
  2. cover
  3. and steam until tender
  4. about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer vegetables to a bowl; add lemon juice and seasoned salt and toss to coat.
