Description

A butter cake mix helps make this cake with cinnamon, brown sugar, and pecans fairly quick and easy to achieve.

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package butter cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 10-inch Bundt cake pan.
  2. Combine 2 tablespoons cake mix
  3. pecans
  4. brown sugar
  5. and cinnamon together in a medium bowl; set aside.
  6. Place remaining cake mix
  7. eggs
  8. sour cream
  9. oil
  10. sugar
  11. and water in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer on high speed for 2 minutes.
  12. Pour 2/3 of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with pecan mixture
  13. then spread remaining batter evenly on top.
  14. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
  15. about 45 to 55 minutes. Cool in pan for 25 minutes; invert carefully onto a serving plate and let cool completely.
  16. Blend powdered sugar and milk together to make a glaze; drizzle over cooled cake.
