Quick Enchilada Sauce

Description

This recipe is ready to use in about 10 minutes and so much better then the canned sauce in the Mexican foods aisle at your local grocery store. This is a quick, easy version if you don’t have the patience or time to completely make from scratch. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt (Optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder, or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix tomato sauce
  2. tomato paste
  3. beef broth
  4. salt
  5. oregano
  6. cumin
  7. garlic powder
  8. onion powder
  9. and chili powder together in a saucepan until smooth.
  10. Bring sauce to a boil
  11. reduce heat to low
  12. and simmer for 10 minutes.
