Oven Baked Rice

Description

My favorite way to prepare rice! Can be easily doubled but use a larger baking dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup jasmine rice (such as Mahatma®)
  • 2 ¼ cups water
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
  2. Pour rice into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Stir water
  4. butter
  5. salt
  6. and vinegar together in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a rolling boil
  7. then pour over rice; stir to combine.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until water is absorbed and rice is tender
  9. 20 to 25 minutes.

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 25 mins

Total Time: 35 mins
