Light Chocolate Chip Cookies

Description

This is a tasty recipe for soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies. Don’t try to double it though, it doesn’t turn out.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cream brown and white sugars with butter in a medium bowl. Stir in vanilla
  3. egg white
  4. and water. Sift together flour
  5. baking soda
  6. and salt in a separate bowl; stir into creamed mixture. Mix in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned and edges are set
  9. 8 to 10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
