Fried Banana Balls

Description

An easy delicious banana fritter recipe. Drop by them by the tablespoon to form the balls.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 4 very ripe bananas
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine flour
  2. baking powder
  3. and salt in a bowl. Mash bananas
  4. sugar
  5. vanilla extract
  6. and cinnamon together in a separate bowl. Stir flour mixture into banana mixture until batter is well mixed.
  7. Pour 2 inches of oil into a heavy pot and heat over medium heat.
  8. Working in batches
  9. drop batter by the tablespoon into hot oil; cook until lightly golden brown
  10. 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer banana balls to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool slightly. Dust banana balls with confectioners’ sugar.
