Classic Minute® Rice Pudding

Description

Here’s our favorite and most requested rice pudding recipe! Everyone will want to taste this classic dessert with dinner!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup Minute® White Rice, uncooked
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine milk
  2. rice
  3. sugar
  4. raisins and salt in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil
  5. stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 6 minutes
  6. stirring occasionally.
  7. Beat eggs and vanilla lightly in a small bowl. Stir small amount of hot mixture into eggs. Stirring constantly
  8. slowly pour egg mixture back into hot mixture. Stirring constantly
  9. cook on low heat 1 minute until thickened. DO NOT BOIL.
  10. Remove from heat. Let stand 30 minutes. If desired
  11. sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve warm. Store any remaining pudding in refrigerator.
