Japanese Teriyaki Sauce

Description

Using the Japanese sake and mirin wines (available in most Asian markets), this teriyaki sauce recipe is simple and sweet. Use as a sauce or marinade for chicken, fish or other meat.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup dark soy sauce
  • ¼ cup sake
  • 2 tablespoons mirin (Japanese sweet wine)
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce
  2. sake
  3. mirin
  4. and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat; stir until sugar is dissolved. Use immediately
  5. or cool and store in the refrigerator.
