Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- ½ cup chilled butter, diced
- 1 ¼ cups whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Mix flour
- sugar
- baking powder
- and salt together in a large bowl. Cut in cold butter with a knife or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk
- a little at a time
- until dough is moistened. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden
- 12 to 15 minutes.
